When addressing, autocomplete does not allow ENTER to select, I have to use the mouse laft button to select and use the mouse left button to go to the next addr
Some time in the last week or so the autocomplete function of addressing has changed. I have checked 2 different computers with Thunderbird 31.3.0. I closed the application and restarted it. : When I begin to type an address on the address line, Thunderbird suggests a list of matches, I left click on my chosen one and hit ENTER. However, ENTER chooses the initial (default) entry on the list, not the one I clicked on with my left mouse button. However after left clicking on the name, if I then left click on the following address line, it retains my choice. This is not how it behaved in the past. Also, when I researched this on the forum, someone pointed out the the autocomplete no longer shows preference for recent choices. This is also a change. I have noticed and appreciated that it listed recent first and then others. This is recent, but I cannot pinpoint a specific date.

This is known and reported bug which the developers are working on as a critical fix. Please note this bug only occurs if you use TAB or ENTER.
If you use your mouse to select email address and use mouse to move to next line then it does not occur.
Suggest you use this method. This method does not require using the TAB or ENTER keys, so will not produce the bug. In new Write mesage.
- Use the Contacts Sidebar
- 'View' > 'Contacts sidebar' or toggle view using f9 key.
- select address book Select contact(s)
- click on 'Addto TO' button or other options.
