The problem could be related to an Adobe Reader update installed yesterday, but.

I have uninstalled adobe Reader and Flashplayer, and uninstalled and reinstalled Mozilla firefox. The browser will open to my homepage, but as soon as I click anywhere, menu button, search bar, firefox freezes. I do NOT get the Firefox crash report. I get the windows report that the Firefox plugin container has stopped working.

Help. I cannot use my Firefox browser to get any further information....

Before trying to restart Firefox use the Windows Task Manager process tab (Right click of Windows taskbar will give option to start TaskManager) and ensure there is no Firefox or plugin container running. Selecting the process you will get an option to stop or kill them.

When you open Firefox again watch the TaskManager again and if a plugin container process remains opens try killing it to see if Firefox will unfreeze.

If you are then able to use Firefox try to ensure all plugins are disabled.

Are you now able to use Firefox and browse without it freezing ?

Next test to see if enabling a particular plugin causes problems.

By The Way do you ever use Trusteer Rapport ? That at the moment may be causing issues.
