Hi JPVisual.com, are you referring to the "Search Tools" on the Google results page, where you can specify a date range after you do the initial search?

I posted a page a while ago that lets you create additional search plugins for Google search incorporating a date range. These are added as additional search engine options, instead of replacing the built-in one, so you can test them and if they don't do what you need, you can remove them.

Let me know what you think.

If you need an arbitrary date range, like 1/1/2018 - 12/31/2018, my page can't create that.

One option is to create a "keyword" bookmark. To set that up, you can edit the dates in this query:

https://www.google.com/search?tbs=cdr:1,cd_min:1/1/2018,cd_max:12/31/2018&q=%s

The %s is a placeholder.

Once you have your query URL set up, select and copy it.

Then create a new bookmark; it's not critical whether you do it on the menu, toolbar, or in "Other" bookmarks. You can use right-click on one of those > New Bookmark

  • Name => whatever you like to identify this query template
  • Location => paste the URL
  • Keyword => something short that you'll type, for example, g18 for Google 2018

Then click Add.

To use this bookmark, type the keyword portion in the address bar, for example, g18, then a space, then your query. When you submit it, Firefox will use the bookmarked query template for the search.

Thanks but it’s not what I was looking for. Thank you though

Hello JPVisual.com,

This may not be what you want either, but you could use this URL for a thumbnail on the new tab page :

https://www.google.com/search?tbs=qdr:y&q

Replace the y (for year) with d for day, w for week or m for month if you prefer a different range.

Maybe you could explain in more detail what you are looking for.
