I have become very reliant on gContactSync and understand from the developer that he has no plans to update it to accommodate changes required for TB version 78. Are you aware of any developments for a replacement? If there is no prospect of a Google contact sync add-on I will move to Evolution, although importing all mbox folders and sub-folders will be painful.

Thanks people. Suggestions sound cumbersome and future changes to Thunderbird add-on rules could render them unusable. After more than 15 years using Thunderbird (Windows and Ubuntu), I plan to bite the bullet and move to Evolution.
