i receive some multiple emails every day from the same source. These emails are noxious and are not wanted. Can I do something to prevent this?

You can create a filter and delete them automatically. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/organize-your-messages-using-filters
Note, the attempt to fight typical spam messages using static filters is futile.
