I had trouble with old version of firefox in that it opened with multiple copies of my home page,,like 14 of them whenever I went to it. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still got the same problem. Today I installed the new version. It opens only monentarily before crashing but I can see that is is again opening multiple homepage windows. I get/send the error report page each time. I am now on my other computer.

I don't get a crash Id; just a message tht report was submitted sucessfully. I can't get onto firefox to enter anything in the location bar (address bar??) on that computer

I solved this by setting back to an earlier recovery time, and then set a new home page. That seems to have solved the problem.

Thanks for your answer; I may still need it.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
