I have been using Thunderbird for many years and I am grateful and satisfied with the program but... .... a few months ago I had to reinstall it on my computer and since then an "anomaly" has been happening that I can't solve or find a solution in the help on your website. It's like this.... When I start typing a message, Thundirbird starts a sort of "backup" intermittently presenting a copy of what I'm typing in the inbox at every moment. and on the other hand it doesn't record anything in the drafts folder. Example: If I take, say, 5 minutes to prepare an email, in my inbox I will have ten or more copies of the email I am preparing. I have already reinstalled and searched all your support and I cannot resolve this annoying situation. Can you help? I will be grateful. Rogerio Freire

Bonjour Je souhaite utiliser la messagerie Thunderbird et transférer ma liste de contacts de mon ancienne messagerie Outlook (dernière version). J'ai suivi la procédure en exportant le fichier au format "csv" puis en l'important dans la messagerie Thunderbird mais la liste des nouveaux contacts ainsi crée est inutilisable. Les champs sont mélangés et aucun de ceux proposés dans Thunderbird ne correspondent à ceux de l'ancienne messagerie. Est il possible d'avoir une solution pour transférer dans le bon format cette liste de contacts et pourvoir l'utiliser dans ma messagerie Thunderbird que je souhaite désormais utiliser. Je vous remercie par avance si vous pouvez me donner quelques explications.

So I have two accounts on my Thunderbird, business Microsoft Exchange and then a personal G-Mail account. Recently I have been having certain e-mails not being able to send through Microsoft Exchange. I have OWL support for both of them to work correctly. It is usually an e-mail over 8mb of attachments or some time it has been an e-mail with a lot of wording in the body, like lots of replies I have had to delete most of the info in the body to get it to send. If I send it through my G-Mail account it goes no problem. The Message it gives me is "Sending of the Message failed. The server had an internal error. This is always a problem of the server and not of you or your application." I tried to go online through office.com to send it that way, and it worked. My internet guy thinks it is Thunderbird but doesn't use it and really doesn't know anything about Thunderbird. Most of my guys that work on my business computers don't know anything about Thunderbird. My office manager has Thunderbird and is not having this problem. I am not the best with internet or mail configurations. This is getting frustrating. I am hoping someone know what the problem is and it is an easy fix. Please let me know if you have any ideas, I don't like outlook and some of the other apps for mail. I am used to Thunderbird and don't really want to learn a new one.

Hi. I renamed a folder and stupidly used a special character (I think that's what caused the problem). The folder is now empty. Seeing an old reply on the forum, I looked in the file list and see that the data seems to still be there but I don't know how to get it back. I've added an image of the directory. It was called .HOLD and I changed it to .Check Here -> HOLD. I changed it back to .HOLD to see if that would help but it didn't. I closed and restarted Thunderbird and that didn't help either.

I can send a single email to the several hundred email addresses in one of my Google Workspace labels with no problem using the online Gmail web interface. But when I try to send an identical email to the identical label members through the Google Workspace account in Thunderbird 128, it says there are too many recipients in the To: line. Is this limitation being imposed by Thunderbird itself or is it imposed by Google on messages sent from Thunderbird? Google Workspace chat AI bot says it's likely Thunderbird, but is it?

I have a problem with reducing the TB profile size.TB reports the size of all the accounts as about 14 GB but the profile is 48 GB. I know there are other things than the emails themselves, but none of the other files is even near 1GB. I have tried manually compacting folders and this has helped a bit, getting the largest imap folder (127.0.0-1.1) down to 40 GB. How can I get rid of whatever else is occupying disk space? The strangest thing, though, is that the top account shows 9.5 BG in TB but the imapMail folder is 40 GB while the second account shows 4.4 GB while the imapMail folder is only 2.23 GB. What is going on? I will attach screen shots of the folder/file listings. The Outlook account is not currently installed in TB. Thanks for any help.
