Folder by date search needs to be fixed

Windows XP Thunderbird 31.0

I right-click on a folder and select "Search..."

I set the condition: Date... is...

First error: Thunderbird suggests today date in the format "02082014". Before the last client update the format would be "02/08/2014"

Second error: Clicking "Search" will show no results. I tried to change the format but I could not get the desired result.

Hmm works for me on windows 7. Have you tried restarting with add-ons disabled from the help menu?
