My Nook HD+ is an Android device. I would love to install Firefox Mobile Android on it but, if my Nook won't take it, I found that trying to install a nonsupported app can cause my Nook to malfunction. In other words, I'm afraid to try to install Firefox Mobile if it cannot besuported on my NookmHD+ Thank you, in advance for your offer to try to help me.

Since the Amazon tablets do not have Google Play you need to install Firefox manually.

Note that mobile Firefox Release and Beta builds installed manually this way will not update like you expect on say desktop or on Android devices using Firefox from Google Play. As a result it is suggested to use the Aurora channel builds so you get updates.

Mozilla did have Firefox on the Amazon app store since these devices do not have Google Play. They briefly had Firefox 9.0 on it until it was discovered that Amazon modifies and resigns the package and caused problems with updates as a result also and it was removed.

Bug 713777 is one to read (not comment) to see the progress of trying to get Amazon to work with Mozilla on getting Firefox on appstore.
