Possibly the easiest potential quick fixes, and one that should be done anyway to benefit general browsing, is to set the Firefox langauge preference so that en-US is the top one.
- Use Menu Button {three bar icon} -> Preferences {cog) -> |Content| -> Languages [Choose]
- See Settings for web content, pop-ups, fonts, and languages
It is possible to change Firefox search engines and add new ones. See also
If you are using Google sso thattill there is often a setting on their page, at the bottom, to use particular countries, that may have been replaced with the option to use an exact location. Try using the cog top right in Google pages if you do not have a link at the bottom.

- Your own google may already be country specific e.g
https://www.google.co.uk/preferences
I am not sure what is the best method if you use Yahoo.
Please post back to say how you get on and, which search engine you are using (copy a link from a location bar search). Do you know was it a specific language version of Firefox or the standard English-US download you installed.
