Please update to Firefox 38.0.1 (comes out later today) and let me know if this still happens. Firefox 28 is no longer supported.

Hi Sorry about the long delay, I only have occasional access to the PC with the problem. The fault is still there in safe mode, so did the uninstall and deleted the firefox folder then installed the latest version Firefox 38.0.5 Buttons still not working
