Does thunderbird let several people use the same database at the same time?
Currently I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2007 for my small business. I have several computers, but one email address, to keep all the email exchanges as part of the same database, for archive searching purposes. However, that means that only one computer can send and receive emails, which slows down whoever is using that computer. I'm thinking of switching over to Thunderbird, if there is a way to let several people use the same email/database at the same time. Is this possible with the base application? What about any add-ons or database servers?
Thank you

you need to use IMAP mail accounts and multiple mail clients.
IMAP is synchronized to the server. So three or four people and their phones and tablets can all attach to the same account on the server and synchronize. Copies of everything synchronizes. so in essence you end up with multiple synchronized versions of the same set of mail.
All the major free mail providers support IMAP.
