While checking my add-ons' status, I saw the "update" notice for flash player.

I clicked the button to update and was taken to Adobe to begin the process. I clicked the "download" button and the installer download proceeded and completed normally.

I clicked on the downloaded installer file and the installation started. Then this error message appeared (see snapshot). Pressing either "yes"or "no" buttons causes the message to continually re-appear. I had to use Task Manager to kill the process.

MY FF version is 39.0. The flash player version involved is 18.0.0.209. OS is W7 Home Premium (up to date).

Do I need to wait until Adobe releases another version? Thanks in advance for your help.

hi, can you try if the installation works with the offline installer, which you can download from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (for firefox use the windows-exe for plugin-based browsers)? otherwise you'll probably have to contact adobe's support for getting their product to work...

Hi user1806, thanks for the screen shot. Apparently Adobe's installer embed a component of Internet Explorer to manage the panel it is displaying. I'm not sure what caused the IE script error, but hopefully using the "full" installer will work for you.
