Hi, hope you can help. I usually keep all emails in folders named for each year, with sub-folders for topics. On Tue 15 Sep I tried to move the 2014 folder into the Archives, and tried to rename that folder 2002-2014. Had some error messages. Now we have lost the sorted 2015 emails and the Spam folders altogether. Can only see the unsorted 2015 emails in the inbox. Some of the folder and sub-folder names appear in grey/italics in the archives. Some archived folders have been duplicated, and each one contains only a partial list of sub-folders. Clicking on some folder names brings up an error message, e.g., "The current operation on '2002-2013' did not succeed. The mail server for account [email address] responded [TRYCREATE] failed Folder. (Archives/2002-2013) does not exist." No, I didn't know I was supposed to click the "archive" button. Have always dragged and dropped before...

Did you accidentally press the 'a' key while a large number of messages was selected?

There is nothing wrong with manually moving messages into yearly folders. The archive function basically does the same thing.
