How to delete emails locally, but not from the server?
Hello, all my emails have been downloaded to my Macbook and use ~80.1Gb of my total 120Gb. It would be great if I could delete most of locally stored emails, but not from the server, so that I could have my old emails, without taking my free space.

I'd suggest you try compacting folders first. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Compacting_folders
Make sure you do have a backup of your Thunderbird profile folder before you start messing with it. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Backing_Up_and_Restoring
