Hello,

I have already read the same type of question and try the solutions proposed:

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in safe mode -- still have the same issue.

With other browser Chrome the same issue.

Trying to access other website to buy tickets I have more or less the same issue:

403 Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

I have also tried with use system proxy settings / No proxy

Still the same issue.................

What it can be? How can I solve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

The US site seems to be down and doesn't show any content for me. The UK site still works: http://www.stubhub.co.uk/

The most typical reasons for this problem would be:

(1) Blocked or corrupted cookies

  • To clear cookies for the site, try either:
    • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    • click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar > More Information > "View Cookies"

If you do that on the site, the box at the top of the dialog will have the site filled in. If you do it from another site, edit the address at the top to stubhub.com first.

Then you can remove the site's cookies individually without affecting other sites.

Close the dialog and try reloading the page. Does that help?

(2) Unusual connection parameters

Some sites not only check the cookie but also other details of your connection such as your computer's IP address. If it changes then you may be required to re-authenticate or you might simply be blocked.

You said you already checked your Firefox setting here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > "Network" mini-tab > "Settings" button

And changed from the default setting of "Use system proxy settings" to "No proxy."

Do you use an anonymizing service or private VPN to disguise your true IP address? That also could be an issue, since the error message may be generated by anti-fraud protections. Similarly with Hola or Tor.

For multi-browser issues, in addition to a private VPN issue, consider whether your security/privacy software blocks information that sites expect to receive, such as:

  • a standard user agent string (includes your browser identity and operating system)
  • referring site header (HTTP_REFERER)
  • cookies (but this would break a lot of sites, so probably not)
