Why do my search links convert to empty folders in Win10?

TB 38.4.0 - All my incoming and sent emails go into a single archive folder which I search from numerous search links arranged as a folder hierarchy and there are hundreds of them. The tb storage archive is shared between my xp installation and my win10. These are in separate partitions on the same hdd and only one or the other is running at one time. TB works ok in XP sp3 pro (32) but in win10 pro (64) the search links are randomly being converted to empty folders.

Recreating them is an option but it would be good to be able to solve the problem because of the sheer volume of links and the time it is taking to replace them. The account is pop but I do not believe this has any relevance as the problem is unrelated to upload or downloading. It is purely a search function issue. It seems that TB is corrupting search links and I just want to know how to restore them.

If it is not possible to fix this in the local copy, can I copy the search folders structure from my xp installation? I used mosbackup but it does not seem to transfer the folder structures which contain my searches.

I thought I had posted this question last week but I cannot find it now so apologies if I am repeating.

What is a "search link"? A Saved Search folder, perhaps?

Sorry - Yes a saved search shortcut
