Hello,

My shaw inbox is full and am currently using Thunderbird. I need to download all of the messages via IMAP so I can delete the old ones. I see no option to do this in Thunderbird or shaw webmail. So how can I force Thunderbird to download all old messages (about 1GB worth)?

It said i ran out of room, but i only have a few messages. apperently though it just didn't sync all of the folders, because I was able to delete my drafts, trash, etc, which apperently was the culrpit.

IMAP email is server based. You do not download messages. You use an email client to read them remotely.

You can create folders under Local Folders and move copies of the messages there.

Make sure the messages are in Local Folders and readable and then you can delete them off the server.

Can I get a listing of all messages then?

If you are looking at the Inbox you are viewing the Inbox on the server.

What are you not seeing?

Make sure you compact folders after multiple deletions. Compact is Thunderbird speak for removing messages marked for deletion. A poorly named function IMHO.
