Some of my addons have dissapeared over night! Such as Fireshot screen capture & Google Search. Fireshot Screen Capture was not even in the add-ons menue.
I lost FireShot Sreen Capture, Google Search, and probably more over the last 48 hours, starting on January 14, 2016 The only extension I did not loose was Ginger Spell checker which was disabled because It was incompatible with FireFox on the last couple of Fire Fox Upgrades. The other extensions that I lost I will figure out as time goes on. I did not loose any of my plug-Ins. When I went to add-ons & plugins on your website I could not find Fire Shot Screen. I did find it when I searched on the Web. I just find this a little unusual sine I have been using Fire Shot Screen Capture for about 6 years, as well as other add-ons and Plug-ins. I just wanted to share that with you. Thanks. Regards,
Doug Keenan

This will disable add-on signature enforcement; Enter about:config into your Firefox address bar Click the I'll be careful button Find xpinstall.signatures.required in the list Right click the preference Select Toggle until the value is false https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox

Do you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case you have used the the Refresh feature in Firefox and have created a new profile?
It is possible that there is a problem with files in the profile folder that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end of the Search bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this didn't help then delete addons.json and possibly prefs.js in case there is a problem with preferences.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
