When Firefox is focused, my mouse moves downwards by itself. Instantly stops when not focused. Restarting/reinstalling (with/without addons) had no effect.

I can no longer use Firefox at all, because whenever the program is focused, my mouse moves downwards by itself. I've restarted my computer, unplugged and reinserted the mouse, reset Firefox without addons, reinstalled Firefox, scanned for viruses, all to no effect. I'm writing this to you from Internet Explorer, that's how bad the situation is.

Update: The issue has disappeared. As of today (I turn my computer off at night) the mouse no longer moves by itself when Firefox is focused. I've made no changes to my system, run any new scans, or disabled anything I hadn't already tried.

Very strange. I'll update again if it comes back. I'd still really appreciate more information, if anyone has experienced this before.
