Hello I just purchased a new I Mac and Firefox will open but not continue working. Help

I can open Firefox on my new Imac, but it just stops at the log in screen. I have spoken to apple three times and they say it's your products. I don't thinks so but could sure use some suggestions to try before i throw the computer out the window Thank you Charlotte
