How can I get my printer to communicate with my computer again?

My printer no longer will communicate with my computer. Now when I try to print something it just says to connect the printer. It is connected. The printer itself works fine but will not copy from the computer any longer. In my Moxilla profile folder it shows the printer name many times (I think this means when it was trying to work??). It is a Dell 968w All-in-one printer.

Thanks, I hope you can help me as I need this printer. I would be afraid to buy a new one and have the same thing happen. It was working fine and does not seem to be broken.

This does not sound like an issue with Firefox, but more of a general hardware query that we do not support here.

I recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the printer who should be able to provide support and guidance on this issue.

When you initiate printing from the keyboard in Firefox using { Ctrl + P } - is that printer selected in the Printer > Name box at the top of the pop-up window?

Is Print to File in the center-right portion of that pop-up window?
