Delete autocomplete options
Sometimes when I start to type information in a field, a drop down menu appears with suggestions to autocomplete the field based on what I have entered previously. But there are times when one or more of the suggestions is something that I mis-typed sometime in the past. An example is that when want to log into my bank account, I have to enter my account number (instead of a user name). Needless to say, I have mis-typed the account number a few times in the past so now the list of suggested account numbers includeds not only the correct account numbers for the various accounts I have but also the mis-typed numbers. How can I get it to stop suggesting the incorrect information?

The easiest method is the keyboard. Once the suggestion appears:
- Press the down arrow key to highlight it
- Shift+Delete (on Windows, just the Delete key)

If you want to do a general cleanup rather than waiting to encounter these entries in real time, you can use an add-on such as: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/form-history-control/
Does one of those work for you?
Thank you. And so easy. I had tried Delete but not shift delete.
