search not working. Suggestions appear, but results are zero messages

The "Search" bar on top of Mozilla Thunderbird 45.0 is not working.

I am searching for the sender & receiver and the weird part is that those do appear as a suggestion while typing on the search box, but once the search is executed, it show zero messages.

I already deleted the global database file as suggested in other help topics, then the indexing process happened but the problem is still there. Any ideas? Thanks
