I have my composition settings in each email account set to HTML. However, when I receive an HTML email, 'accept it' so that it displays correctly and then try to forward, the email forwarding is not correct. I can correctly forward the HTML as an attachment. Is there some other setting that I should set as the default for HTML forwarding?

Apologies ... I should have mentioned above that I did search for answers but found no solution. Most threads are quite dated eg 2009 and one specifically refers to a 'bug' and suggested forward HLML as attachment. I am wondering if this is resolved? Hope you can advise me please

The red boxes are simply indicating the use of tables and so forth to control the layout of the message. As you have noticed, they are not visible in the message when viewed by the recipient.

The boxes are there to guide you; if you wanted to edit the message they help you enter or remove text in the right part of the table.

If you send it as an attachment then you are choosing to send it verbatim, without any editing, so you don't see the contents of the attached message.

As you do not say exactly why you think what is being forwarded is "not correct" is is almost impossible to guess where you are coming from.

Hei Matt. Thanks for reply. Forwarding of HTML email is not as original eg not forwarded in Html. It only retains original format if sent as attachment.

Maybe the problem is me! If I forward an 'accepted' html email from my Inbox to myself it looks like this in the sending mail ... but my inbox copy is correct once accepted. Does this seem the correct process to you?

Zenos ... thanks for cluing me up about this. What a brilliant concept! As a very new user of TBird I am really getting to like it. Cheers Ron
