Is there a plan to support WebExtensions in Thunderbird?

There is no specific plan. Much of the web extension stuff may appear in Thunderbird from the shared source with Firefox. But there is no plan for Thunderbird specific implementations. As Thunderbird is not really a browser, I wonder what browsers extensions would do for email.

Ok thanks. Well I just created addon that I would like to use in Thunderbird as well but looks like I will have to wait... https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/scroll_anywhere/
