adding a task in Thunderbird

Hello

Adding a task seems very similar to adding an event except that I can't find my tasks anywhere after I click on add and save. they do not appear in the calendar nor in the task column in the right hand column of Thunderbirds.

any pointers please?

ok there was a filter on and that is why I couldnt see the event dates
