I get an error from gmail saying there is a security risk when sending
I get the following message when sending with an attachment:
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.0 This message was blocked because its content presents a potential 5.7.0 security issue. Please visit 5.7.0 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BlockedMessage to review our 5.7.0 message content and attachment content guidelines. x2sm73574381pfx.65 - gsmtp. Please check the message and try again.
If I click OK on the dialogue box, the message goes fine. This behaviour has only started in the last couple of days.

Note, further investigation has shown it doesn't only happen with attachments. It happens with all emails to all destinations, using both gmail and non-gmail smtp servers.
The error message originates from a gmail server. so I do not see how it can come from anywhere else. So I really think you are only using gmail SMTP servers.
The error is saying your message has an attachment of the file types. .ADE, .ADP, .BAT, .CHM, .CMD, .COM, .CPL, .EXE, .HTA, .INS, .ISP, .JAR, .JSE, .LIB, .LNK, .MDE, .MSC, .MSP, .MST, .PIF, .SCR, .SCT, .SHB, .SYS, .VB, .VBE, .VBS, .VXD, .WSC, .WSF, .WSH
Or that your message contains content, images, or links that might share viruses
Have you done a scan for a virus, or created a new signature file?
