onclick='javascript:return openExplorer();' works in IE but not in Firefox
This is a developer question. Firefox does not understand the adress. This JS function opens a local or network folder. Very usable locally. Kind Regards Torbjorn Ljung Stockholm, Sweden

Are you using something like this ten-year-old code:

When I try something similar, Firefox's Web Console (more info on MDN) displays:
Error: Access to 'file:///C:/Windows/' from script denied
Not surprising, really...
What is the point of having this function in your web app?
