Why are all of my bookmarks and tags deleted?
My school district has Mozilla firefox. I have been using it lately to bookmark websites to use in my class. When I logged onto it today all of my bookmarks and tags were gone. I tried to restore the session but it was not listed.

Do you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created?
Do you see any compressed .jsonlz4 backups in the bookmarkbackups folder?
- Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks -> Import & Backup -> Restore
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

I will never use bookmarks again. My favorites on internet explorer never get deleted.
What's your computer system and Firefox version?

If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

The district won't let me install or uninstall versions of firefox. They control that.
Talk to the one in charge. Find out what version they are using.
