Yahoo email problem "The current operation on 'Inbox' did not succeed"
Trying to set up Thunderbird, and although it's working fine with my Gmail accoun, not so with Yahoo mail. When I open Thunderbird, a box comes up which says "The current operation in 'Inbox' did not succeed. The mail server for account ...... responded [CLIENTBUG] SELECT command is not valid in this state". How do fix this please? I'm in the UK and I'm really not too good with this sort of thing ...

Open TB, right click your Yahoo account (above its Inbox folder on the left panel), choose "Configurations" or something of this sort (my version is portuguese, so...).
'Settings' is what you need to see 'Account Settings' Choose "Server" (or similar, mine's portuguese, remember?) on the left pane and DELETE THE "@YAHOO.COM.XX" part of the username on the right side pane. Disregard the popup saying you might need to change the email adress and VOILÀ! Its such a stupid error and we've been banging heads against walls for it.

Thank you! I'll check those out as soon as I can and report back - hopefully within a few hours ...
Well, by golly it's now working! I got so confused that I now have no idea which of the suggested methods actually did the trick, but who cares?
Problem solved, thanks to Toad-Hall :)
