Why can't I whipe the proxy settings?

If I set "no proxy", every time I reopen Firefox the proxy setting has disapeared and a proxy url is shown. That causes constantly problems by other websites, very embarresing. Why?

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
