Since the new version, firefox is incredible slow; it semi hangs when filling in a field... any field including address or search field but also fields in webforms, selecting an item from a drop down list, selecting a destination folder when downloading a file, selecting a file for uploading, etc etc I'm using the 64bit version on a 64bit windows 10 desktop with a nvidia gtx 1050 ti... So hardware is quite ok i guess. On the other hand, once a site is found, loading is incredibly fast!

hi paslec, can you try if this change can workaround the performance problem?: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.

Hi Philipp. YES! This works like a charm. BUT... is this a definitive solution? It IS after all a workaround.

great, thanks for reporting back. yes this is a permanent solution, as accessibility services are needed for a small section of users with screenreaders or similar technology...
