I lost my column with adresses / adress book as soon as i am creating an e-mail How do I get it back in place??

So, when I choose foor sending an e-mail, I can do that but the adressbook is not there. Puting in by hand an adress is taking much time.

Thanks..... had computer crashed by installing Windows 10 1709.... use Thunderbird for about an age and than thiss stupid me... Thanks for your FAST reaction!! Paul
