Allow dialogs from xyz to take you to their tab
I accidentally clicked the check box on one of these and can't find where to turn it off. Frustrating.

A certain website that I log into has an inactivity timeout. When it displays its warning FF appends a check box with the text "Allow dialogs from ww.xyz.com to take you to their tab" to the message.
On the panel I mentioned, look for:
"Switch to this tab" => Allowed

What xyz dialog are you referring to? Did you clear history and cache to see what happens?
Xyz is any website that shows a dialog after some inactivity
Xyz is any website that produces a dialog after some inactivity
Did you try to close and restart Firefox?
Yes I have stopped and restarted FF many times
Take a look at the permissions for the site and see which ones have been customized. For example, permission to show pop-up windows or notifications.
While viewing the site, click on the site identity area at the left end of the address bar, either the padlock icon or the little i-in-a-circle icon. When you have customized permissions for the site, the little drop-down panel should show that and let you clear the custom permissions.
Does that show anything?
Or is it possible that the dialog you clicked off was presented by one of your add-ons?
I will try and be more specific. A certain website that I log into has an inactivity timeout. When it displays its warning FF appends a check box with the text "Allow dialogs from ww.xyz.com to take you to their tab" to the message.

Hi jscher,
You are a champion
The setting was in the site identity area.
Methinks should also be in the options page alongside the notifications / popups etc.
Thanks heaps
