I am setting up thunderbird on new PC. My inbox is displaying recipients name rather than senders name. How do I fix?

In the "Correspondents" field, Thunderbird is showing the name of the person who is receiving the email along with a right pointing arrow, I want it to show who is sending the email.

"Correspondents" ought to intelligently select the sender or recipient as appropriate. I'd like to understand why yours is failing.

Under these circumstances, I would right-click "Correspondents" to get a drop-down menu. There you can select "From" and de-select "Correspondents".
