Reinstallation needed following sabotage of computer by fraudsters posing as BT who were eventually denied the chance of emptying my bank account after persuading me to share control of my computer. I know, my dumb. But they were plausible. All files were saved by the computer engineer and put back, other than my Thunderbird email which I have used for years. Attempts to reload Thunderbird have failed, despite the password being verified correct on other similar applications (see screenshot attached). Emails to the address are still coming to my cellphone through the phone's email application, which was created using the same login details and p/w which I am attempting to use again on Thunderbird. I need somehow to recover the account and need advice. Have made numerous attempts using the valid p/w to reinstate the account. Have been able to recover my Outlook account on Thunderbird with no problem.
