Icons missing in Firefox Quantum
I updated to Quantum and now I am having a miserable time getting the icons on my weather page website at http:// www.elgheko.us/mtp/. It was working okay, but not anymore. See the attached png file as a good example. It works fine with Google Chrome which I really hate to use.
Any suggestions on how to get around this error?

Hi Tom, the little symbols are drawn using a font Firefox needs to download from the site (see attached screenshot).
Do you use the uBlock Origin extension, the ad blocker? One of its features is to block downloadable fonts. This may also be a feature of other extensions that block ads or trackers.
You also could double-check these settings:
(A) Your Fonts vs. Page Fonts
You can check that here:
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
Scroll down to the Language and Appearance, Fonts & Colors section, and click the "Advanced" button.
If the checkbox for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above" is empty, go ahead and check it. Then OK that change.
If you reload a problem site, do the missing character (possibly icons) display?
(B) Font Download Block
As the next step, please check this setting:
(A) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Return/Enter. Click the button accepting the risk.
(B) In the search box above the list, type or paste gfx and pause while the list is filtered
(C) If the gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled is bolded and "modified" to false, double-click it to switch it back to true
If you changed that, you can reload the page and see whether that helps. Success?
