Version 60.0b16 (64-bit) The dark theme on Windows 8 has a light background on the menu bar. On Windows 10 the same version has a dark background. Windows 8 isn't yet history! Since the Windows 10 has white text on black, a bit harsh for a 'dark' theme, is it worth considering a mid-grey text instead?

HI no idea as you are running a beta version anything can and will happen. If you have a bug, file a bug report. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ Bug Writing Guidelines : https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines

Please check here and search for other themes, you can select one then tap and see if you like the theme before you install it.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Ok, I downgraded to 59.02 64bit on Win 8, same problem with menu bar having white text on light background with the dark theme out of the box, no add-ons. Guess I'll look into filing a bug; thanks for your time.

Hi, you can actually run Firefox Developer if that is what you were running and a release version of Firefox at the same time as there is a compatibility mode at the end of Developer install.

Could you send a screenshot please : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-screenshots

Also can try creating a new Profile and then apply your theme/s and see if it still gives the wrong colors or fixes the issue :

Screenshot here. This is with a new profile; no difference to dark theme; menubar enabled but not visible. Other themes are ok so I'll go with that.

HI, please : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's(Win10) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.3 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

An interesting exercice. I deleted all Mozilla files in programs as requested, also appdata/roaming and appdata/local files in admin and user accounts. Disk cleanup twice including system files. No change to dark theme in v59.03. Please forward this issue to whoever introduced the dark theme, the issue has been present for a long time, (I have raised it before but it may not have been clear). I do not need further assistance because I can use another theme that works. My intent was only to make you aware of the issue on Windows 8.

Hi, sorry to hear that did not work but you do have cleaned up folders. It maybe something that is stuck in the registry that would need to be removed or repaired.

If you feel you have a bug, file a bug report.

Ok, I have also cleaned the registry with ccleaner, no change.

I'm sorry that can't mark it as solved, because it isn't 'solved'. You imply I am the only one with this problem. If you have no other instances of this issue it doesn't mean it's my laptop, but more because I'm the only Win 8 user left on the planet.

I won't file a bug because I don't want to trawl through old versions to find the start of the issue. I don't suppose you do either.
I have already stated that I need no further assistance, thank you for helping me clean my disk though.
