Malwarebytes keeps telling me Firefox is trying to open files.fm and other webpages.
How is this possible? I have not installed any sketchy softwares, nor openned any ads. In fact, I use strict popup blocker and ABP (YouTube whitelisted).
Also, many webpages have been displaying a spinning wheel and won't load.
I have running both Windows Defender and Malwarebytes at all times and use them + AVG+Kaspersky every time I download anything.

And yeah.. Firefox also become unresponsive to commands when I try to open a page when this happens. After it is restarted everything turns to normal.
Hi, you have something in your system that possibly came in with a program or from a drive by attack. Since it seems that Malwarebytes is finding it and blocking it that's great but does not find the source of the issue as well AVG and Kaspersky are not finding the source.
( have Malwarebytes myself) Suggest clearing your cache, and data as well as your cookies. You will have to log in to sites and set things up again on others as cookies hold the preferences.
See if running their AdwCleaner has better results please. (I run that also) If still getting the issue Please search for Programs & Features and go through your list of installed programs to see if do not recognize anything. Uninstall if find something.
If still have issues please go see them for help (been their myself) :
It would be normal for Firefox to be unresponsive as that something really wants you to go there. Might be possibly to track if search for Task Manager and see if something is up and running when that happens.
There are issues with Avast (which now owns AVG) & Kapersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate. This can cause that spinning as the website is getting the wrong info.

So ya, AdwCleaner and if that fails go visit Malwarbytes forum from that URL as it has instruction on what to do and submit.
After getting cleaned and still have issues please let us know.
