Resize console command line like chrome

Is there a way to resize the console command line? In chrome the whole console is the command line but it really bothers me that in firefox the command line is so tiny, please help me!

ahh something else, I can't clean the console with ctrl + l is there another way?

You can open the console in a standalone window (or possibly at the bottom instead of a sidebar). Then you can resize this window more easily.
