When I try to forward a message, I get a large amount of codes, etc. before the message I want to forward.
I try to forward a message but get as much as a full page or more of codes (?) or other non-readable lines before the content I actually want to forward. I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

How about providing an example?
I suspect you're seeing regular email headers. Stuff like this:
