Mailing List will not accept more than 24 contacts?
Attempting to create a mailing list. I can drag and drop up to 24 contacts from my address book but no more. When I delete the 24th contact from the mailing list, I can then add one more.

Will your provider send an email with even that many?
I do not know. I think I may have sent more. But I wanted to know if the mailing list is restricted to 24. If so, I will have to create two lists for the group of 30 people I want to send to.
I am not aware of a limit.
Restart with add-ons disabled from the help menu and see if you still face the limitation.
I tried that but the mailing list will still not take more than 24. Thanks for your help. I will get over it by having two lists.
Does not explain how to add a contact to an existing email list

what is your point? this discussion is not about how to add a contact to an existing mailing list, it is about ths apparent limit of 24.
That's my question. No other possible avenue to get an answer appears except to ask it here, a discussion of an apparent barrier to adding another contact to an existing list.

I suggest you ask you own question in the same way this person did, using this link https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird
