I would like to be able to find the size of folders - not just the size of files in folders. Is this info available in Thunderbird?

It would be helpful in managing my mail storage usage if I could see the size of my folders in the folder pane. Thunderbird provides the option of showing the size of individual files in each folder but I don't see this option for showing the folder size as a whole.

In a Support Forum "robertboyl" said he found a way to see folder sizes but did not indicate how he did this.

Thanks, Jack2840

Thanks. This solved the problem.

I wonder why this solution did not come up when I asked the question in the Help window?

This forum's search engine is practically useless, although the site contains much useful content. The best way to find it is to do a search on the site, e.g. when I entered

site:https://support.mozilla.org size of my folders in the folder pane

into the Google search box, the first result provided an answer that looks familiar.
