hello, what kind of security software are you using on the affected system?
I have Avast 19.3.2369 installed on Win 8.1 64 bit. No idea if this is related to the problem, as according Ghostery AddOn page also other OS systems are effected as well.
For the time being I downgraded to Firefox 64.0.2. System is fine for now.
