I have the latest edition of FF on a new Win 10 HP PC. Sometimes it will not create a bookmark in the appropriate folder. Any ideas?

Most of the time FF creates bookmarks successfully. There are a few websites where it just won't create the bookmark. It goes though the new bookmark popup normally but the bookmark isn't there. There are a few (so far) websites that exhibit this problem.

I have created bookmarks from this site and many others on two Lenovo PCs.

Also it won't import bookmarks from the backup HTML file exported to a thumb drive.

Does anyone know why this is going on?

Hi Rihard, Firefox will not create a bookmark with a duplicate name. Be sure that it is named differently than any of your existing bookmarks.

As far as importing from a backup HTML, are you saying that it simply doesn't do it?

That is it. The html file has data so that is not an issue. No more help is needed. This morning when I turned the pc on I got a "blue screen of death" that basically told me "you are screwed". Got to call hp. Weep for me.
