I am unable to use check spell when sending an email using yahoo.
If i mis-spell a word it is no longer underlined . No spell check occurrs. I am unable to access spell check when using Yahoo mail to send an email

Does the Firefox spelling checker work on other websites like this forum ?
Does Yahoo use a plain text editor (i.e. doesn't support HTML formatting code) ?
You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages sub menu. At least one dictionary should be installed and have a check mark to indicate that it is selected.
- open the "Add Dictionaries" link to install a dictionary if you do not have one.
The spelling checker is enabled if [X] "Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a checkmark.

Note that you need a dictionary and not a language pack that provides string translations for the user interface.

Note that the article on lifewire.com is about using Yahoo on Mac (see the three colored dots on the title bar), so the remarks about Safari do not apply to the Windows platform.

I was thinking "Yahoo" when I saw "Safari" ..... :(
