Load the webpage. Then click the AdBlock icon and select not to block.
does not work.when you click on adblock it shows it blocked.It gives you a chance to unblock by changing a bubble entry from blue to black and asked you to refresh. But it does not work
Are you using any other blockers?
Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}
1.From your browser's toolbar, click the Adblock Plus icon and select the gear icon in the upper right corner.
2.From the General tab, scroll to the Acceptable Ads section. 3.Uncheck Allow Acceptable Ads. 4.Close the tab.
where is the adblock plus icon? I have a shield and a padlock on the left, then 4 other icons on the right - none say anything about adblocking

Do you have Adblock Plus installed? It's an optional Add-on for Firefox that the user needs to install.
Check the Add-ons Manager to see if ABP is an installed Extension. You can use {Ctrl + Shft + A} to open the Add-ons Manager, then select Extensions.
No I don't. Only add-on extensions I have are Honey and DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials. Like FireFox, it says that it blocks ads that contain trackers "Escape Advertising Tracker Networks — Our Privacy Protection will block all the hidden third-party trackers we can find, exposing the major advertising networks tracking you over time, so that you can track who's trying to track you."

Then why are you asking "where is the adblock plus icon? "
