I have a Macbook purchased in 2007 and updated to MacOS 10.6 and unable to update any higher. Firefox is version 48 and cannot upgrade any higher. I am trying to uninstall Adobe Flash player from Firefox plugins on my Macbook and can't find a way to delete or uninstall. Delete, Remove or Uninstall are nowhere to be found in the Firefox Menus.

The last update to Adobe is 2015 but I keep getting messages from Adobe to update and cannot stop the notifications to update. How can I stop the update notifications from the Adobe plugin?

The Flash Player Plugin is installed on the OS and not in Firefox whether you are on Windows, Linux or Mac OSX.

Type about:plugins in the Location (address) bar to see where your Flash Player Plugin from Adobe is located on your system.

Thank you James. I did find it before asking but wasn't sure if Firefox controlled it. The only options in FF was in regards to updates and activation for all plugins so, only partial management. I will delete from the library.

To be clear I was referring to NPAPI Plugins as they are not installed in Firefox like Extensions are. Since the Firefox 52.0 Release the Flash Player Plugin from Adobe has been the only one allowed to run.

However as of Firefox 69.0 and later it is no longer allowed to be always activated. Besides Adobe will discontinuing their Flash Player Plugin in late 2020.

I fail to understand anything you say beyond FF version 48 with regard to my situation. My Adobe flashplayer has not been updated since 2015 and Firefox v 48 cannot been updated. I just wanted to stop notifications to update since updates are not allowed.
