pdf file upon downloading becomes corrupted
I downloaded a pdf file (certificate) from coursera.org, but the file gets corrupted and can't open using a pdf viewer.

The website that provided the file appears to have forgotten to include the file extension at the end of the file name, so your computer doesn't know that it's a PDF file.
If you add .pdf
to the file name, it should fix the problem.
I'm assuming this is a site-specific issue, but if it happens on every website that you try to download/view a PDF on, there may be a problem with your Firefox settings.
